No worries for Azarenka as she swings into anticipated motherhood

When Victoria Azarenka broke her news on twitter of July 15th, that she and her boyfriend were going to become parents, every fan and tennis person’s mind flaked out a bit. What boyfriend? Now she won’t be able to play for a long while ! Did she really plan this? Well good for her, were the comments played out by thousands. Definitely this is a good thing but it comes at a time in tennis where so many issues are more serious and mind-provoking. She had made it known that at the end of the year, this bundle of joy will be arriving; besides from injuries that have plagued Azarenka and have interrupted her tennis and tormented her body, she will be more relaxed and can concentrate on how her life will be changed and her tennis on tour will be transformed forever.
At the top of many players’ minds now is their performance at the upcoming Rio Olympics in Rio de Janiero; a Rio that has been revolved around the devastating Zika virus and its affect on the environment and its people. There’s a few issues in the tennis community now creating upheavals and that is: reasons for withdrawals of players from the Rio event, as well as the possible banning of Russian athletes (Russian tennis players too?) from participating in Rio because of theories of Russia’s worldwide doping situations.
