Tennis- 34-year-old veteran, 2007 Gstaad champion Paul-Henri Mathieu reached the second round of the J. Safra Sarasin Swiss Open ATP Tournament as he local player Marco Chiudinelli in straight sets but fifth seed Guido Pella was ousted.
Frenchman, Mathieu was given a tough time in the first set by Switzerland’s Chiudinelli as he took the first set 7-5 but second set was walk in the park for him as he won it 6-1 and moved into the second round where he will face another Swiss wildcard Henri Laaksonen, who edged Slovakia’s Jozef Kovalik in a thrilling battle 3-6 6-1 7-6 …
