Kenya banks AFCON hopes on COSAFA tourney

Kenya Technical Director Andreas Spier has taken over the coaching duties of the U-17 team and his first aim is to guide the team to qualify for the U-17 AFCON in Madagascar next year.
Spier who was last month named Technical Director of the East African nation, started working with the team last week and will be responsible for picking the squad of 23 that travels to Mauritius this weekend for the COSAFA U-17 Championship where Kenya was handed an invite after Mozambique pulled out.
Speaking to CAFOnline.com, Spier notes there has been massive improvement since he picked up the role and hopes the squad will get better.
