Joe Flacco will speak up when he needs reduced training camp load

COLUMBIA, Md. — Quarterback Joe Flacco reiterated that he’ll be on the field when the Baltimore Ravens officially open training camp July 28.
The amount of work Flacco puts in every day will be primarily dictated by how he feels.
“I’m going to go out there and I’m going to do it,” Flacco said Monday after M&T Bank announced him as its spokesman for community initiatives and marketing. “If, at some point, I’m just going to have to be willing to say, ‘Hey John, I need a couple [of minutes] here.'”
Flacco missed all of the offseason workouts for the first time in his nine-year NFL career while recovering from season-ending knee injury. He has tested the surgically repaired left knee at the Ravens’ facility, and he said it feels best when he’s running and cutting on it.
The plan is for Flacco to report Friday with the rookies and other injured veterans.
