Braves place Beckham on DL, recall Snyder

ATLANTA — The Braves placed infielder Gordon Beckham on the 15-day disabled list on Thursday morning with a left hamstring strain and selected the contract of infielder Brandon Snyder from Triple-A Gwinnett.
Beckham sustained the injury during Wednesday’s 5-4 win over the Giants while trying to beat out a ground ball in the bottom of the sixth inning. The Braves were already playing a position player short during the game.
This is the second time this season Beckham has landed on the disabled list with this injury. The Atlanta infielder also suffered a left hamstring strain against the Marlins …
