Rafael Nadal withdraws from Queen’s Club due to a wrist injury

2008 Queen’s Club champion Rafael Nadal has announced today that he will not play in this ATP 500 event in two weeks time, due to a wrist injury that forced him out of Roland Garros before the third round match! Few days ago Nadal confirmed that the wrist has been bothering him since Madrid and that could have become worse if he continues to play. With mandatory rest in the next 10 days or so, Nadal will not be able to play at Queen’s, which has one of the strongest fields ever at this tournament, with Murray, Wawrinka, del Potro, Tsonga, Raonic, Cilic, Gasquet, Isner, Kyrgios and many others.
