Royals place Eibner on DL with ankle sprain

Brett Eibner became the latest Royals player to miss time with an injury as the club announced on Wednesday, among a series of roster moves, that he’s headed to the 15-day disabled list with a left ankle sprain.
Eibner, who was called up Thursday from Triple-A Omaha, exited Tuesday’s game on a cart after stepping awkwardly in pursuit of a ball in left-center field. The rookie was 6-for-13 with three doubles since his callup.
