KC rookie Eibner injures ankle; DL likely

KANSAS CITY — Injuries continue to plague the Royals of 2016.
With third baseman Mike Moustakas out for the season, left fielder Alex Gordon out for four weeks and catcher Salvador Perez out another week, rookie left fielder Brett Eibner, just called up last week from Triple-A Omaha, left Tuesday’s game — a 10-5 Royals victory — on a cart after suffering a lateral sprain of the left ankle.
The Royals indicated Eibner would have an MRI on Wednesday.
