Gallardo set for first rehab appearance Thursday

BALTIMORE — Orioles pitcher Yovani Gallardo will make his first rehab appearance on Thursday, either for Class A Advanced Frederick or Triple-A Norfolk. The right-hander is expected to make at least two rehab starts.
Gallardo, who threw a simulated game on Saturday, took a work day on Monday. Manager Buck Showalter said Gallardo will go four or five innings in his first rehab game. The affiliate will be determined based on the weather, though the O’s would prefer he …
