Burns eyeing Broner payday

Ricky Burns hopes victory against Michelle Di Rocco on Saturday leads to a megabucks clash with Adrien Broner in the near future.
Burns (39-5-1, 13 KOs) hasn’t fought since November and went bankrupt last year after a costly legal battle with former promoter Frank Warren.
Broner (32-2, 24 KOs) would represent a significant payday for him but, first, the Scot still has the tricky task of facing Michelle Di Rocco (40-1-1, 18 KOs) for the vacant WBA world light-welterweight title on Saturday at the SSE Hydro Arena, Glasgow.
“I was meant to fight Adrien Broner at super-featherweight and lightweight,” said Burns.
“It’s always been a fight on the table but you don’t know what sort of Broner will turn up and if he’ll make the weight. I’ll take on anyone if I win though.
