The Cubs have released veteran outfielder Shane Victorino, sources tell MLB.com’s Carrie Muskat.
Signed to a Minor League deal during Spring Training, the 12-year veteran played just nine games for Triple-A Iowa after debuting May 6. He spent the start of the season rehabbing a strained left calf.
