Rangers OF Hamilton to miss 2016 due to knee

Outfielder Josh Hamilton will undergo left knee surgery and will miss the 2016 season, the Texas Rangers announced Monday.
Hamilton, already on the 60-day disabled list, has not played yet this season due to knee woes, but the Rangers had initially expected the slugger to return at some point this season. Instead the 35-year-old will have surgery in June.
