Cork card falls to unsafe turf

Friday evening’s meeting at Cork was cancelled with two races to go due to unsafe ground.
Course officials had no option but to draw stumps “in the interests of safety” after heavy rain left the track in a precarious state.
The horses entered the parade ring ahead of the penultimate Social Package Handicap but that was as far as they got, with concerns raised due to the wet weather.
