Another week, another fun Cats update from overseas. The quarterfinal round at the IIHF World Championships is in the books, and Finland and Canada both rolled into the semifinals. Finland flexed its way to a 5-1 win over Norway, with Panthers forward Jussi Jokinen potting an empty-netter to seal the deal. Canada – aided by Mike Matheson’s blueline play – followed suit in its 6-0 win over Sweden. The only two teams with Panthers on their rosters are the two most impressive teams at the tournament, with a combined 15-1-0 record at this point in the tournament. The one loss? That came in Finland’s win over Canada in the preliminary round.TOP 10 GOALS Do you like goals? How about top 10 lists?
