A’s OF Reddick breaks thumb on slide into second

Oakland Athletics right fielder Josh Reddick broke a thumb sliding into second base Thursday night during the seventh inning of a 4-1 loss to the visiting New York Yankees.
Reddick will be out indefinitely, A’s manager Bob Melvin said, according to MLB.com. Reddick said he would see a hand specialist and estimated his recovery time at four to six weeks.
