Twins send Rosario to Triple-A Rochester

MINNEAPOLIS — The Twins optioned outfielder Eddie Rosario to Triple-A Rochester and purchased the contract of former Astros outfielder Robbie Grossman on Thursday.
After a promising rookie year, Rosario struggled in 32 games this season, hitting .209/.227/.330 with three homers, five doubles and 11 RBIs. He also struck out 31 times compared to three walks.
Rosario, 24, was benched during the seventh inning of Wednesday’s 6-3 loss to the Tigers for making several mistakes during the game. He missed the …
