Sunday Briefing: Dario Sammartino Scoops $718,000

The $21,000 No-Limit Hold’em 8-Max High Roller event of the 2016 PokerStars Spring Championship Of Online Poker (SCOOP) saw 143 entries processed and a $2,931,500 prize pool created. A huge slice of that money, $718,217.50, is now nestled in the PokerStars account of Dario “Secret_M0d3” Sammartino.
Sammartino defeated Henrik “hhecklen” Hecklen heads up to leave Hecklen with the $498,355 runner-up prize. Fourteen others shared the mammoth-sized prize pool, each walking away with the amounts shown in the table below:

Big Scores in Non-SCOOP Events
There were some big scores enjoyed in standard PokerStars Sunday tournaments as well, particularly the $110,250 that “daskalos20” won for taking down the Sunday Grand. Another was the $64,780 awarded to “Fresh_oO_D” who triumphed in the pot-limit Omaha edition of the Sunday Grand.
