Manaea stops Rangers for 1st career win

OAKLAND — Athletics rookie left-hander Sean Manaea earned his first Major League win by holding the Rangers to one run in 6 2/3 innings in a 3-1 victory at the Coliseum on Monday night.
Marcus Semien’s seventh-inning home run also helped the Athletics win for the third time in four games. Manaea was making his fourth Major League start and had allowed eight runs over 2 2/3 innings in his previous outing against the Red Sox. This time he allowed four hits, walked one and struck out three over 95 pitches.
