WORLDS RECAP: O’REILLY HELPER CAPS 4-0 WIN FOR CANADA OVER FRANCE

Ryan O’Reilly’s assist to Corey Perry in the third period capped yet another shutout victory for Canada, 4-0 over France at the IIHF World Championship in St. Petersburg, Russia on Monday. The Canadians remain undefeated through six games in the Preliminary Round.
It was another dominant win for Team Canada, which outshot the French team 46-13 overall and 20-5 in the third period. Mark Stone opened the scoring with a power-play goal in the first, which was followed by goals from Matt Duchene, Mark Scheifele and Perry.
Canadian goaltender Calvin Pickard only needed to make 13 saves for his first shutout of the tournament. Cam Talbot was in net for Canada’s 5-0 win over Slovakia on Saturday as well as …
