Novak Djokovic: The Transition of a Favourite, from Roma to Paris

A player isn’t, according to one of my friends, a favourite in an event that the player hasn’t won before. In correlation to tennis, this rationale specifically applies to Novak Djokovic, who’s yet to win the French Open and who, for the past couple of years, has still been the player widely expected to do so. While I have always disagreed with this aspect before, this year I find myself oddly amenable to it thanks to how the scenario leading up to the French Open has been.
