2016 NCAA Division I Men’s Championship: Cavaliers blanks Hawks to open the campaign

Defending champions Virginia Cavaliers had a successful launch of their campaign in 2016 NCAA Division I Men’s Championship, beating Monmouth Hawks 4-0 at Snyder Tennis Center and improving their score to 25-4. Monmouth had no weapons to resist great rival, playing in their first NCAA Championship. The tie was off to a perfect start for the Cavaliers, as Thai-Son Kwiatkowski/Mac Styslinger defeated Vidit Vaghela/Ale Gomez Estrada 6-0 on court 2 before J.C. Aragone/Collin Altamirano delivered the first point by 6-2 against Christian Vieira/Alberto Giuffrida on court 3.
The singles action went on in a similar style, with Virginia taking the first set on 5 courts, having 4 ranked players in their mighty squad. After his great …
