The French Open is still glamorous and glorious, but time is against it

The French Open is resoundingly behind the expectation about the structural and organizational capacities respect other important tournaments. The comparison with the Australian Open and Wimbledon is almost merciless, and even the upcoming top-roof of Artur Ash Stadium (US Open) will leave even more detached the historical Parisian Slam. Not to mention that other tournaments as some Masters 1000 are fast growing, Indian Wells and Rome over all, and even 500 tournaments like Halle and Queen”s have now a big draw in proportion.
The main problem that is experiencing now the Roland Garros is the modernization of facilities (such as the endless controversy about the new area in which they should be build new courts and facilities) and also the organization. It needs a strong signal from the organization of the tournament, in order to bring again the French Open in the short list of …
