2016 NCAA Division I Men’s Championship: Aggies too strong for Colonials in the opening round

Texas A&M Aggies opened their campaign in 2016 NCAA Division I Men’s Championship with a 4-0 victory over unranked George Washington Colonials at George P Mitchell Tennis Center. The Aggies are now 36-24 in this Championship and they will now face state rivals Texas Longhorns, for the first time in NCAA since 2013, when they prevailed by 4-3 also in the second round. The Longhorns are still in the huge lead over the Aggies in H2H meetings, but in the last 7 matches, Texas A&M scored 5 wins, and will enter tomorrow’s clash as the favorites. The Colonials get into this match after winning the A-10 conference title for the 3rd straight year and also 5th time in the last 6 seasons, but they couldn’t parry against much more quality team.
