TB’s Bishop exits on stretcher with left leg injury

PITTSBURGH — The Lightning might have ended the first period of Friday night’s Game 1 against the Penguins with a 1-0 lead, but two key players suffered injuries in the process.
Netminder Ben Bishop left the ice on a stretcher in the first period after suffering an apparent injury to his left leg. Later in the period, center Tyler Johnson had to leave after suffering an apparent injury to his lower body, although he did return later in the second period.
