Bishop exits on stretcher; TB’s Johnson hurt, too

PITTSBURGH, Pa. — The Tampa Bay Lightning might have ended the first period of Friday’s Game 1 against the Pittsburgh Penguins with a 1-0 lead, but they also lost two major players to injuries.
Lightning netminder Ben Bishop left the ice on a stretcher in the first period after suffering an injury to his left leg. Later in the period, center Tyler Johnson had to leave after suffering an apparent injury to his lower body.
