Bald eagle: Shaved head has Trayce Thompson soaring

LOS ANGELES — How do you raise your slugging percentage 35 points in a span of eight games?
For the Los Angeles Dodgers’ Trayce Thompson, it was as simple as shaving his head.
Admitting that he was desperate for change, Thompson went the superstitious route before the last homestand, having Scott Van Slyke shave his head completely. At the very least, Thompson felt “meaner.”
His new streamlined look has resulted in a .304 batting average since April 25, not to mention two home runs and two doubles. He has also collected five of his nine RBIs in that stretch.
