The Determination of Sara Errani

Sara Errani was born in 1987 in Bologna, Italy, one of the largest and vivacious city in Northern Italy. It is filled with wonderful entertainment of historical, musical values and also noted fabulous cafes and restaurants. Giorgio, Sara’s father is a fruit and vegetables import/export broker. Fulvia, her mom is a pharmacist and her brother Davide, is a sports manager. Errani was an athletic girl who enjoyed football and swimming, but her main love was tennis. At the age of 12, she was chosen to represent Italy in an International tournament in Auray (France). In the same year, 1999, she chose to go to the Nick Bolletieri Tennis Academy in Florida where she stayed for 10 months to tighten up her game, strategy and techniques as well as learning how to speak English, which a word of it she didn’t speak or nearly understood. Sara also had the task of adjusting to the Academy with being the youngest there and without her parents. Errani began practicing her singles and doubles game and she moved at 16 to Valencia, Spain, to be coached further by Pablo Lozano and David Andres. Sara’s first event was in Italy, in 2002, the $10,000 Cagliari event, of which she lost, but she was learning through experience and the ITF continued to be her playground and a few years later her 1st tournament win came in Melilla, Spain in 2005.  The Internazionali Femminili de Palermo was another title a few weeks afterwards. Sara’s career at that point was up and down with being a runner up at two WTAs and then a year later losing in the 2009 French Open. Sara had the desire to continue her singles game, no matter how often she won or lost and was skillful and accomplished enough to reach the third round in every Grand Slam except the French Open in 2010, where she unfortunately lost in the 1st round. …
