15-year old Felix Auger-Aliassime advances to his first Futures final, reaching big milestone for his generation

Felix Auger-Aliassime made his name last year when he qualified for the Drummondville Challenger, and then went on to reach Granby quarter-final, still at the age of 14! He is, of course, the most prominent player of the 2000 generation and will break into Top 700 still being 15. Two months ago he made semi-final in Canada F2 Futures but this week in Spain F12 he will play for the title, at only his 5th Futures in the career. Thus, Felix becomes the first player born in 2000 with final at the professional tournament, and if he wins tomorrow he will be the youngest ever player who won the Futures title, passing Richard Gasquet, Mario Ancic, and Andrey Rublev.
Felix came to Spain as a part of his preparations for the junior Roland Garros, but can easily be heading to Paris with Futures title under his belt, after playing some great tennis in the first 4 matches in what is the strongest Futures on clay that can be found …
