PITTSBURGH — Jung Ho Kang is back with the Pirates.
After spending the last 7 1/2 months recovering from traumatic left knee injuries, Kang rejoined the Bucs in St. Louis on Thursday before their three-game weekend series against the Cardinals, which begins Friday night at Busch Stadium.

Catcher Francisco Cervelli posted a picture on his Instagram account of himself and Kang with a caption that begins, “My brother is back.” Kang was with the club when its bus arrived at the team hotel, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported from St. Louis.
