Skins give TE Reed reported $50M extension

The Redskins think very highly of tight end Jordan Reed, who was heading into the final year of his rookie deal, and coming off a 2015 season that included 87 receptions for 952 yards and 11 touchdowns. So highly, in fact, that the team has signed Reed to an extension reportedly worth nearly $50 million over five years.
Reed’s new deal, which will pay him $10 million annually, ties him with the Seahawks’ Jimmy Graham for highest-paid tight end in the NFL and is the second-largest amount for that position in league history. According to ProFootballTalk.com, Reed will also get $22 million in guaranteed money.
