Junior dos Santos Undergoes ‘Small Shoulder Surgery’ Following Win Over Rothwell

Junior dos Santos will have to recover from shoulder surgery before he makes his next Octagon appearance. The former UFC heavyweight champion recently revealed on Instagram that he underwent a minor procedure on his shoulder following his unanimous decision triumph over Ben Rothwell in the main event of UFC Fight Night in Zagreb, Croatia, earlier this month. “Cigano” did not give a timetable for his return. “Despite being Brazilian I’ve never played soccer very well. I also wasn’t good enough [at] swimming or running or any sports like those. But luckily I found myself in the fight world and I can say I’m good at it,” he wrote. “But fighting demands a lot and sometimes even in victory we can get hurt.
