Wentz goes No. 2

After Jared Goff went No. 1 overall to the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday, it became a near certainty that the Eagles would take Carson Wentz, and that’s exactly what happened with the second overall pick.
Thanks to the pick, the former North Dakota State star just became the first non-FBS quarterback to get taken in the first round since 2008, when the Ravens selected Joe Flacco out of the University of Delaware.
Although everyone knew Philly would likely take a quarterback, CBS Sports senior NFL writer Pete Prisco still wasn’t a huge fan of the pick.
