NFL Draft: 10 best fan reactions to draft picks
- Updated: April 26, 2016
In just a few days, an NFL team will draft a player who draws the ire of at least one member of its fan base. OK, so replace “at least” with “nearly every” in that statement and it becomes a whole lot more accurate.
Welcome to the NFL Draft: a complete crapshoot rooted in pure speculation, but an event that still manages to evoke the strongest and most opinionated of all rapid reactions. There’s a very real chance that one team will select a future All-Pro, and there’s an even better chance that the selection will be met with a chorus of boos and F-bombs (and vice versa, of course).
After all, Donovan McNabb evoked anger. Johnny Manziel created euphoria.
In preparation for the festivities, let’s look back at some of the most memorable reactions. From Manziel and McNabb to Warren Sapp and even Marcus Mariota, here are 10 of the best fan reactions to the NFL Draft (note: Jets fans, this won’t be a particularly fun experience):

Anyway, eventually the Browns drafted Manziel in the first round. And the reaction should never be forgotten.

After two underwhelming and chaotic seasons, the Browns cut ties with Manziel this offseason. In those two seasons, he compiled a passer rating of 74.4.
Manziel remains a free agent. He’s been fired by two different agents in one offseason. Now, he’s reportedly been indicted by a grand jury on a misdemeanor assault charge.
2. Kendall Wright and Justin Hunter don’t care about Marcus Mariota
This one makes no sense. Last year, the Titans drafted Mariota with the second pick in the draft. Considering just how highly most experts thought of Mariota, you’d think that …
