d’Arnaud exits early with right shoulder pain

NEW YORK — Mets manager Terry Collins is concerned with the health of Travis d’Arnaud’s right shoulder, which caused the starting catcher to leave Monday night’s 5-3 win over the Reds in the eighth inning.
d’Arnaud was removed for Kevin Plawecki two innings after singling off Reds reliever J.C. Ramirez. In the top of the sixth, d’Arnaud made the final of four unsuccessful throws to bases attempting to catch Reds basestealers. The Reds stole five bases against the battery of d’Arnaud and starter Noah Syndergaard.
d’Arnaud is scheduled to see a doctor before Tuesday night’s game.
