PFA Player of the Year 2016: Winner, Voting Results and Awards Reaction

Leicester City’s Riyad Mahrez has been named the 2015-16 PFA Player of the Year after a stunning campaign.
The result was confirmed via the PFA on Sunday:

The Foxes star, who has been superb in his side’s surge to the top of the Premier League, has netted 17 goals and bagged 11 assists so far this season.
Mahrez saw off competition from his Leicester team-mates, Jamie Vardy and N’Golo Kante, to clinch the award. Also in the running was Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane as well as Arsenal and West Ham United playmakers Mesut Ozil and Dimitri Payet, respectively.
Vardy finished in second in the voting, while Kane rounded out the top three, per Darren Lewis of the Daily Mirror.
