Koetter: ‘Unrealistic’ Bucs can repeat draft haul

The Buccaneers’ growth last season (four more wins) can be traced to their 2015 draft class.
With the first-overall pick, they selected Jameis Winston, who went on to eclipse 4,000 passing yards. In the second round, they snagged two key members of the offensive line in Donovan Smith and Ali Marpet. Finally, they landed linebacker Kwon Alexander in the fourth.
All four of those players were named to PFWA’s all-rookie team.
Ahead of next week’s draft, new Buccaneers head coach Dirk Koetter is doing his best to lower expectations, because matching last year’s draft class isn’t going to be an easy task. According to Koetter, it’s “unrealistic.”
