Roger Federer: ‘This summer I have dreams to realize. I feel ready to win a Grand Slam’

Roger Federer had a detailed interview with Marca. Here’s an excerpt:
This year he had to revise his schedule because of the unexpected injury to his knee. He missed Rotterdam, Dubai and Indian Wells recuperating from surgery and then his expected comeback in Miami was delayed because of gastroenteritis forcing him to play Monte Carlo before Roland Garros. Though it did look difficult, Federer however said it wasn’t too hard changing the schedule, ‘Not so much hard because we players were born to be flexible. I remember that when I was a junior I could play three matches in a day because of rain. I am very orderly and if I have to change my plans I do it paying attention to injury and my family.’ Federer also added that it was hard for him to play in Brisbane because he was unwell, but that overall he was healthy in Australia and that it was hard in Monte Carlo too because he’d been coming after a long break. Speaking about the aftermath of his injury, Federer said humorously, ‘Obviously I am more careful with my movements now. To he honest I think it was bad luck because I did not make any strange movement. I could have got hurt by myself while brushing my teeh or wearing socks.’ Moving on to the subject of winning a Grand Slam and a possible medal at the Rio Games this year, Federer continued, ‘It’s important for me to not hurt myself in the summer.
