All-Pro cornerback Josh Norman signed with the Washington Redskins on Friday to what a source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter was a five-year deal worth as much as $75 million.
The contract includes a guaranteed amount worth about $51.5 million, a source told ESPN’s Ed Werder.
Norman’s average per season of $15 million eclipses Patrick Peterson’s contract with the Arizona Cardinals that pays $14.01 million annually, making Norman the highest-paid cornerback in the NFL.
Norman, 28, tweeted a series of emojis in the wake of the news, and the Redskins posted several photos, including one of Norman signing his deal.
