W2W4: Chicago Blackhawks at St. Louis Blues, Game 5

ST. LOUIS — Every game of this first-round series between the St. Louis Blues and Chicago Blackhawks has had a real sense of urgency about it, the feel of an elimination game. And on the morning of Game 5 — which, with the Blues holding a 3-1 series lead, could actually be a knockout game for the Blackhawks — the sense was no different.
“When you’ve got two equal opponents like this, every game feels like a big game, sudden death,” said Blues coach Ken Hitchcock.
Here’s what to watch for tonight at 9:30 p.m. ET, with the Blackhawks on the verge of elimination:
The morning lines indicated that Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville is reuniting Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane on the Blackhawks top line, a strategy that has worked in the past for Chicago when it was pressed to win a playoff game. The timing to make this change is a good one for Quenneville.
“Those two guys are magicians,” said Blackhawks forward Marian Hossa on Thursday.
