Allmendinger Rolling to Richmond

AJ Allmendinger shoots for more short-track success in Sunday’s Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond International Raceway.
The JTG Daugherty Racing driver kicked off the 2016 Sprint Cup Series short-track season with a stirring second-place finish at Martinsville Speedway to open the month of April. Last week in the Food City 500 at Bristol, Allmendinger was again running strong and appeared headed to another good finish before late-race challenges thwarted those hopes. Allmendinger settled for 19th place.
He now turns his attention to the .75-mile Richmond oval, which Allmendinger knows will be a challenge.
