1987 Miller 400: Earnhardt, With Ease

On March 8, 1987, Dale Earnhardt’s NASCAR rivals witnessed something they would see regularly in the early weeks of that season: “The Intimidator” in Victory Lane.
Earnhardt led all but one of the final 169 laps at the old Richmond Fairgrounds Raceway (known today as Richmond International Raceway) to win the Miller High Life 400. He beat runner-up Geoff Bodine to the checkered flag by a half-second in recording his second straight win.
