Garrick Sims 25-year old center Garrick Sims (203-C-91) put on an amazing game in the last round for Lucenec and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 22.He had a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds, while his team edged out Iskra Svit (#5, 11-10) 98-96. Lucenec is placed at 7th position in Slovakian league. Lucenec is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 8-11 record. Sims turned to be Lucenec’s top player in his first season with the team. Lake Erie College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Sims is in league’s top in points (9th best: 15.9ppg) and averages solid 67.8% FGP.Second best performed player last round was Javier Gonzalez (185-PG-89) of Iskra Svit. He is Puerto Rican guard in his first season at Iskra Svit. In the last game Gonzalez recorded impressive 24 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists.
