D-backs send O’Brien to Royals for Minor Leaguer

The Royals acquired outfielder Peter O’Brien from the D-backs on Tuesday in exchange for Minor League pitcher Sam Lewis.
Arizona designated O’Brien, 26, for assignment last month. The Florida native and University of Miami product collected five home runs in only 64 at-bats for the big league club last season, but struggled to a .141 average and .570 OPS in 28 games.
