Portugal – Rashad Bishop gets MVP of the Week award for Portuguese LPB

RashadBishop American Rashad Bishop (198-F-88) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Illiabum and that’s him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 13.The 28-year old forward had the game-high 25 points adding six rebounds and eight assists for Illiabum in his team’s victory, helping them to crush Maia Basket (#11, 2-11) with 21-point margin 86-65. Illiabum maintains the 6th position in Portuguese LPB. They would have been even better if they hadn’t lost a few games earlier this season. Illiabum will need more victories to improve their 8-5 record. In the team’s last game Bishop had a remarkable 58.3% from 2-point range. He turned to be Illiabum’s top player in his first season with the team. University of Cincinnati graduate has very impressive stats this year. Bishop is in league’s top in points (6th best: 17.5ppg) and averages solid 58.0% FGP.The second most remarkable performance in last round’s games was 33-year old former international guard Miguel Minhava (195-G-83) of league’s best team Galitos-Barreiro.
