NaurisMiezis Kekava delivered the ninth consecutive win on Thursday night. This time they crushed RSU (5-3) 100-65. The game was mostly controlled by Kekava. RSU managed to win third quarter 23-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded RSU 44-33 including 33 on the defensive glass. Kekava looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by RSU’s players. The best player for the winners was forward Nauris Miezis (189-91) who scored 26 points and 4 steals. Forward Niks Saknitis (203-92) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was center Kristaps Jurjans (202-88) who recorded 25 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
