Pundits’ big hopes for 2017

As 2016 draws to a close, the Sky Sports pundits have revealed their big hopes for football in 2017.
We asked the likes of Jamie Carragher, Phil Thompson, Jamie Redknapp and Charlie Nicholas for their thoughts.

Phil Thompson
“The hope upon all hopes is that Liverpool can get that monkey off our backs and win the Premier League title. I know it’s a massive hope and it’s a difficult one, but at this moment we’re playing some great stuff.
“We’ve got as good a chance as any, we’ve got a better chance than most. I hope that Jurgen Klopp, the staff, the players and everybody can do it. It’s fantastic to be a Liverpool fan at the moment. There’s a long way to go, but if they can pull it off I will be absolutely delighted.”

“Arsenal to win the Premier League and the Champions League. If not, then one or the other, and I would like it to be happening next …
