Osaka, Japan, December 25, 2016 – Poland captain Michal Kubiak is excited about Poland and Serbia’s re-match at the iconic National Stadium in Warsaw, which was the same venue for the opening match of the FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship Poland 2014.

Kubiak spoke to Richard Opiatowski of Sports Review and expressed his enthusiasm for the epic duel on August 24, 2017 in the opening match of EuroVolley 2017 with reigning FIVB Volleyball World League champions Serbia. Kubiak brushed aside pressure to play Serbia in front of a large audience in what is expected to break the world record for an opening match set in 2014 at 70,000.

“We play under pressure all the time, so this is nothing new,” Kubiak said. “I am already eager to play at the National Stadium, and again with Serbia. It will be an amazing experience. I hope that many fans will come and support us.”
