Manchester City moved up from fourth into second place in the Premier League as they came back from a goal down to beat Arsenal 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.

Tottenham Hotspur were similarly forced to come back from a goal down but eventually bettered Burnley 2-1 at White Hart Lane.

Meanwhile, Southampton also produced an impressive turnaround, beating Bournemouth 3-1 at the Vitality Stadium having gone behind early on.

Arsenal started well at City and were 1-0 ahead after just five minutes when Theo Walcott latched on to Alexis Sanchez’s ball into the penalty spot and clipped a finish past Claudio Bravo.

City had their chances to equalise before half-time—Raheem Sterling heading wide of the post and Yaya Toure forcing Petr Cech into a routine stop—but they were largely ineffective despite dominating possession.
