Saints squad pleases Puel

Claude Puel heaped praise on his entire squad after his much-changed Southampton side won 3-1 away at south-coast rivals Bournemouth.
Puel made six alterations to the Saints side he fielded in Wednesday’s goalless draw at Stoke and on first glance it looked to be a rash decision as Bournemouth took an early lead through Nathan Ake.
But Ryan Bertrand’s quick reply and Jay Rodriguez’s first Premier League double since March 2014 completed the turnaround and a second away win of the season for Puel’s men.
“I enjoyed for all the players and all of the squad,” Puel told Sky Sports. “Just before Christmas it’s a good moment for everyone to enjoy. The result was deserved.
