Slovenia – Rogaska convincingly beat Olimpija

Taylor Johns Rogaska trailed just once and convincingly took down Olimpija, 84-75, in the opening game of the Slovenian League Round 11. Krka ended a five games overall lossing streak and picked up their first win since November 23.Rogaska-Union Olimpija 84-75: Rogaska trailed just at 5-6 and had their first double digit lead of the nigth at 18-6 midway through the opening quarter. They had their largest advantage at 35-19 in the second quarter and still were up 67-53 with six minutes remaining. At that point on, Blaz Mesicek (197-G/F-97) sank a 3-pointer to ignite a 15-4 run that put Olimpija down by just three, 68-71 with 2:13 left. Dee Davis (183-PG-93, college: Xavies) hit a 3-pointer and Dragisa Drobnjak (200-F-77) added a pair of free throws to extend Rogaska’s lead to 78-71 and then both players made all four foulr shots to secure the win.
